Description
Policing in Nottinghamshire is good – it's official. The recent PEEL inspection by Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Services (HMICFRS) praised the Force for the progress made to improve services and help for vulnerable victims of crime.

Description
It's been one of the coldest and most challenging weeks I can remember. While most of us have tried where possible to remain indoors, our army of emergency services workers have had to confront the full force of nature, delivering urgent medical care, undertaking rescues and safety patrols to protect people and save lives.

Description
It's safe to say policing has endured its fair share of change over the years. Latterly, much of the change has been driven by restrictions in public funds and while these have been critical to protect the frontline, in many cases they've done the wonderful job of actually improving services for local people.

Since the terrible attacks in Manchester and London, politics has been dominated by talk of dwindling policing budgets, the depletion of our emergency services staff and the acute lack of resources across our blue light services.
