Nottinghamshire’sPolice and Crime Commissioner Paddy Tipping will be in Bingham on Saturday toformally open the Bingham Safety Fair.
TheCommissioner will join representatives from organisers Bingham NeighbourhoodWatch, Nottinghamshire Police, Fire & Rescue, Crimestoppers, VictimSupport and many more people who devote their time to the safety ofothers. The Fair can be found in Bingham Market Place from 10am – 3pm on5 October.
Entranceis free and visitors will be able to take advantage of the free advice andguidance available from experts in personal and property safety, onlinesecurity, victim support and the safety and care of both young and elderly.
TheCommissioner will be talking to people visiting the stand, listening to anyconcerns they have regarding community safety.
MrTipping said: “Visitors will be able to benefit from a variety of advice andtips that are rarely to be found under one roof. It’s good to see that somany organisations are prepared to work together in this way for the wellbeingof local communities.
“Ifpeople learn how to keep themselves, their property, friends and family safernot only will they save themselves a lot of stress, but they will help toreduce the demand on resources. I hope people are able to come along, it’s wellworth their time.”
