Public invited to PCC's Police Scrutiny meeting

Members of the public will be welcome to attend Police and Crime Commissioner Paddy Tipping’s bi-monthly scrutiny meeting in West Bridgford on Tuesday (13 September) when he will be updated on the performance of Nottinghamshire Police.

The Strategic Resources and Performance Board, which is usually held every two months and at different venues around the city and county, will start at 2pm in County Hall.

The Commissioner will hear a report from Deputy Chief Constable Simon Torr on significant events and policing work since the June meeting.  Other matters aired will include a monitoring and evaluation report into engagement between the police and the public, workforce planning, and Mr Tipping’s refreshed Police and Crime Delivery Plan for 2016-18.

The meeting will hear how the Commissioner intends to deliver his seven new pledges following his re-election in May. There will also be a recommendation that the Chief Constable support the revised strategic activities associated with the PCC’s Plan.
