VICTIMS OF CRIME

If you are a victim of crime or anti-social behaviour call Nottinghamshire Victim CARE on 0800 304 7575.  You do not need to report the crime to the police to get help.

The lines are open Monday to Friday 8am to 8pm and Saturdays 9am to 5pm. 

Your call will be charged at a local call rate or be free if 03 numbers are included in your landline or mobile package. The team will call you back if you’re worried about the cost of the call.

Outside of these hours call the 24 hour National Victims’ Information Line on 0808 168 9293 (calls are free from landlines and mobiles).

DOMESTIC AND SEXUAL VIOLENCE


If you are a woman affected by domestic abuse or sexual violence call the free 24 hour, 7 day a week helpline.  The helpline staff and volunteers are experienced and specially trained to understand domestic and sexual violence. 

To talk about your experiences or work out what you want to do, contact:

  • 24-hour Nottinghamshire Helpline: 0808 800 0340 (Language Line available in over 200 languages)
  • If you are hearing impaired you can use Text Relay:
  • to make a telephone call dial 18001 + the Helpline number
  • to make a textphone call dial 18002 + the Helpline number

Calls are free from landlines and the following mobile networks and will not appear on your bill:

  • O2
  • Orange
  • T-mobile
  • Virgin
  • Vodafone

Other mobile networks may charge and may appear on your bill - if in doubt contact your network.

Men affected by domestic abuse call the Men's Advice Line 0808 801 0327 free (open 9am to 5pm weekdays)

If you are Lesbian, Bisexual, Gay or Transgender affected by domestic abuse contact the 24 hour helpline (women) or the Men's Advice Line (men).
