Walkabout in Newark

Newark Police Station

Paddy Tipping, Nottinghamshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner will personally inspect policing in Newark on Monday 4 November.

Starting at5pm from Newark Police Station the Commissioner, accompanied by Insp Gan, PC2967 Hensell and PC 819 Drew from the local neighbourhood policing team, willwalk to the Town Centre to see what is being done to tackle street drinking andretail crime before moving on to Hawtonville Estate, looking at the work beingcarried out to address antisocial behaviour in the area.

The visit is part of his plan to visit all key crime areas with the Deputy Commissioner over the next few months to better understand the issues‘at grass roots level’ and, in liaison with Partners, to ensure that everything possible is being done to tackle specific issues in that neighbourhood.
