Ideally, I would like to see the outputs of the research, but if that is not possible then a simple summary of what research has been undertaken would suffice.

For background information I am trying to gather a picture of the digital landscape throughout blue light services in the UK and understand the various deployed network infrastructures, approach to how often they upgrade their networks, typical approach to purchasing new services and hardware and finally gain an understanding of the size of IT departments and what level of responsibility they have.

  1. Who is the current provider of the network infrastructure? - When considering network infrastructure this is specifically the switching hardware and wireless access points that may be deployed throughout the council’s estate and associated cabling etc.
  2. How many sites does the force have responsibility for that require a network infrastructure as detailed above?
  3. What manufacturer is used for the above-mentioned network infrastructure?
  4. What are the approximate number of network switches deployed across the estate?
  5. What are the approximate number of wireless access points deployed across the estate?
  6. What is the latest Wi-Fi version supported i.e. 802.11 b/g/n/ac/ax
  7. How often is the deployed network infrastructure refreshed?
  8. When do the existing contracts for the switching network and wireless network expire?
  9. How do the university purchase new hardware is this via a standard industry framework agreement or directly to the market via an open tendering process?
  10. Does the force have a fully defined IT strategy?
  11. If the answer to question 10 is yes can a copy be provided?
  12. Please provide a copy of the IT departments organisational chart including names and email addresses.

I would like to know number of submissions to your dashcam upload (https://dashcamupload.notts.police.uk) and the number of offenses that have been issued because of public submissions.

A breakdown to type of offenses issued is also requested (ie speeding, red light jumping, close passes etc).

If they could be listed as stats per year that would be helpful.
