(Left to right) Paddy Tipping with Cllr Gilfoyle and Insp Steve Cartwright on walkabout
Neighbourhood Policing teams in Bassetlaw and Worksop welcomed Nottinghamshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner, Paddy Tipping, on Friday 21 December to join them on a walkabout of the local area.
Mr Tipping spent the afternoon in the area, during which time he met with Chief Superintendent Khan and Superintendent Manley at Worksop Police Station as well as going on a walkabout around Manton and the town centre with Insp Steve Cartwright.
A number of local councillors also accompanied Paddy Tipping on his fact finding visit.
Paddy Tipping said: “Neighbourhood policing is very important to me as these officers help to keep our communities a safe and clean place to live. We have just received the budget settlement for the year ahead - it is going to be another tough and tight year but I am determined to get more officers on the street in Worksop and Bassetlaw.
“I was pleased to be able to speak to local Police Officers and councillors from the area during my walkabout today (21 December) and am still working on the plans to reopen Worksop Custody Suite.”
