Nottinghamshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner, Paddy Tipping, and his Deputy, Chris Cutland, met representatives from Nottingham City Homes (NCH) earlier this week (30 Jan) to discuss local housing services and how tenants’ have helped to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour (ASB).
Paddy Tipping said: “Reducing ASB is one of my top priorities. Hearing more about how tenants’ have been working in partnership with the team at Nottingham City Homes to address crime and ASB in the city has been really interesting.
“I have also enjoyed hearing more about the launch of the Nottingham City Homes ASB and Crime Strategy – and how this will be rolled out locally. Communication and partnership working are key elements of my plans so I hope this will be the first of many meetings with NCH to discuss how we can build on these areas.”
Attendees at the meeting included Nick Murphy, NCH Chief Executive, Kim De Vergori, Assistant Director of Housing Services, Kathy Sheldon, Regional Manager, Steve Hale, Assistant Director of Asset Management and Gill Moy, Director of Housing Services.
The meeting took place at Nottingham City Home’s Hounds Gate Offices.
