Police and Crime Commissioner Paddy Tipping will be dropping into Nottinghamshire Police Control Room at HQ on Christmas morning, hoping to share a mince pie or two with staff working there.
“For them, it will be like any other shift as they focus on keeping our residents and businesses safe from crime,” the Commissioner said. “But while most of us are spending time with families and friends, I hope there’ll be a chance in the Control Room for me to give my thanks to those who, between them, will be hard at work around the clock.
“While none of us want to have to call for help on Christmas Day, it’s good to know that if the need arises ‘it’s business as usual’ for our police.”
