Nottinghamshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner Paddy Tipping is to move to a new office this month.
From February 24 2014, the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) will move to premises owned by Gedling Borough Council.
Commissioner Tipping and his staff currently occupy offices within County Hall, West Bridgford. The OPCC is to sign a new lease which will see them move to first floor offices in Arnot Hill House, Arnold – a detached building in the grounds of Arnot Hill Park, next to the council’s main Civic Centre.
The lease, which will run until 2023, entitles Commissioner Tipping to use the council’s meeting rooms and the council chambers by prior arrangement – facilities of which are ideally suited to the business of the OPCC.
Commissioner Tipping said: “I’m very excited about setting up a new base in the heart of Gedling Borough. The new premises, based on the first floor, are right next to the Civic Centre which makes it practical and accessible for visitors. The building is also well-designed to stage large meetings, making it more convenient for my staff.”
