Christmas visit to the Bridewell for Commissioner
Nottinghamshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner Paddy Tipping will be dropping into the Bridewell Custody Suite in Nottingham on Christmas morning, to share some festive spirit with the staff on duty.
“For them, Christmas Day is just another shift while they focus on the job in hand and helping to keep people safe from crime. Just because it’s Christmas it doesn’t mean that people stop breaking the law or behaving irresponsibly,” the Commissioner said. “For the police service, there is no universal down time. That’s why I wanted to drop in and say thanks to those will be hard at work while the rest of us are celebrating Christmas Day.
“Hopefully, Nottinghamshire will have a peaceful, crime free Christmas, but it’s reassuring to know that if the need arises ‘it’s business as usual’ and there people are on duty around the clock.”
