PCC's Stapleford walkabout

Police and Crime Commissioner Paddy Tipping completed a walkabout of Stapleford last week (Friday 16 November).

He was accompanied by Borough Councillor for Stapleford North, Cllr Richard MacRae, beat manager Pc Sarah Warren, PCSO Andy Freeman and Neighbourhood Policing Inspector, Insp Simon Riley.

Mr Tipping visited The Haven Centre on Wadsworth Road, Montrose Court Precinct and Stapleford Young Peoples Centre, meeting with community figures to discuss their work in the area. Local crime and ASB hotspots were also visited, giving the PCC the opportunity to discuss both with local residents and the policing team, some of the issues they are currently experiencing and the work being undertaken in the area by the police.

Neighbourhood Inspector Simon Riley said: "It was a pleasure to be able to escort the PCC on a patrol around the area so that he could see first-hand, some of the problems we face in Stapleford. I’d like to thank him for spending his time with us and for showing value to the work undertaken by my teams and our partners in Stapleford."
