Residents and business owners will have the chance to quiz Nottinghamshire Police and Crime Commissioner Paddy Tipping during a special walkabout in Kirkby next week.
The PCC will be joined by PS Carl Holland, PC Nathan Robinson and local councillors for the event, which will take place between 10.30am and 12.30pm on Tuesday 10 July.
The walkabout will start at the Ashfield District Council offices on Urban Road, Kirkby, before travelling towards Kirkby town centre, taking in the retail and business units along the way. The party will then walk on to the Coxmoor area of Kirkby.
The PCC has planned a host of walkabout events throughout the summer to get to know Nottinghamshire’s communities and find out local views about crime and policing.
Speaking of his latest event, Mr Tipping said: “I’m really looking forward to getting out and about in Kirkby and chatting to local people about any problems they’re experiencing.
“In the past, these kinds of events have been well-received by the public because they can discuss their concerns face-to-face with people whose job it is to solve them. I’m very grateful to our partners for giving up their time to make this such a positive, multi-agency event.”
