Worksop 'Walkabout' for PCC Paddy Tipping

Residents and business owners will have the chance to quiz Nottinghamshire Police and Crime Commissioner Paddy Tipping during a special walkabout in Worksop Town Centre next week.

The PCC will be joined by Sgt Simon Whitehouse and PC Glenn Turner from the local policing team as well as local councillors who will include Cllr Josie Potts and Cllr Kevin Greaves.

The walkabout will start at 1.30pm on Thursday 20 September from the Bassetlaw Shared Service Reception, Queen's Buildings, Potter Street, Worksop, Notts, S80 2AH and will take approximately 2 hours.

The PCC has planned a host of walkabout events throughout the summer to get to know Nottinghamshire’s communities and find out local views about crime and policing.

Speaking of his latest event, Mr Tipping said: “I’m really looking forward to getting out and about in Worksop and chatting to local people and business owners about any problems they’re experiencing.

“In the past, these kinds of events have been well-received by the public because they can discuss their concerns face-to-face with people whose job it is to solve them. I’m very grateful to our partners for giving up their time to make this such a positive, multi-agency event.”
