Nottinghamshire Police and Crime Commissioner Paddy Tipping will be on walkabout around Berridge to meet local people and find out their views on crime.
The starting point will be Radford Road Police Station, Hyson Green, NG7 5GX at 9.30am on Friday 6th September and he will be accompanied by members of the local neighbourhood policing team and local councillors.
They will be able to talk to residents about the issues impacting their area and their public safety priorities as well as discuss the multiagency work underway to reduce crime across the county.
The walkabout will take commence on Radford Road towards the New Basford Area and then take in a few local streets and will include Forest Fields and Sherwood Rise.
“This is a great opportunity to raise any concerns about crime people may have or contribute their ideas for making life better in the community,” said Mr Tipping.
“Berridge is a good place to live but working with partners we are determined to make it better and safer, and it is very important to me to listen to what people have to say so together we can continue to develop the right solutions.”
The PCC will host a number of community walkabouts during the summer months to engage with communities and identify safety issues which impact on fear of crime.
Key issues will be fed back to neighbourhood policing teams to address.
