Salary: £50,949-£55,944

Hours: Full-time - 37 per week

Basis: Permanent

The Commissioner’s Police and Crime Plan sets out three key strategic priorities:

  1. Communities and Victims First
  2. Strengthening Partnership Working; and
  3. Effective and Resilient Policing

To support the Commissioner to meet these priorities we are seeking an experienced Commissioning and Partnerships Manager.

The successful candidate will lead a small team of Commissioning and Partnerships Officers to manage a portfolio of commissioned services including crime prevention and support for victims. The postholder will work for the Head of Commissioning and Partnerships and as part of the Commissioning and Partnerships management team to deliver a large and diverse programme of work.

You will work in close partnership with local authority, health and criminal justice partners to design and commission new services, and contract manage delivery to ensure value for money for the public and the achievement of positive outcomes for individuals.

You will be highly organised with a demonstrable track record of end-to-end commissioning and /or managing contract, strategy, or project / programme lifecycles. You will also have strong problem-solving skills, experience of performance management and knowledge and understanding of community safety. You will bring an enthusiastic and creative approach, have excellent communication skills and proven experience of partnership working.

The role is permanent and open to candidates wishing to work either part-time or full-time, with a minimum of 30 hours per week.

Please note that government plans are underway to transfer functions under the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) model to the East Midlands Combined County Authority (EMCCA) Mayor in May 2028 as part of reforms introduced by the Police Reform Bill.  This is expected to enable better join up with local services across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.

Functions delivered by the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) will still be required under the new Mayoral model and TUPE (the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006) has applied where such transfers have occurred elsewhere in the country and should therefore apply to staff in the employment of the OPCC in Nottinghamshire at that time.

Vetting Level - Management – you must have resided in the UK for at least the last 5 years, with less than 12 months spent abroad (some exceptions for those living on a UK military base).
