Policy and Scrutiny Manager

 POST: Policy and Scrutiny Manager
BASED: Nottinghamshire Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner
 HOURS: Full-Time - 37 hours
 SALARY: £34,578 - £36,369

We are now recruiting a Policy and Scrutiny Manager to lead and develop our policy and scrutiny functions in delivering the Make Notts Safe Plan and our associated business priorities.  You will work closely with our Research and Insight Manager at a strategic level to develop evidence-led practice, identify opportunities for innovation, assess what is working, and drive continuous improvement in policing, crime reduction and victim support services across Nottinghamshire.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual with knowledge and experience of developing and delivering policy initiatives within a multi-agency environment.  Above all else, you will be committed to working as part of a team to make meaningful change for the people of Nottinghamshire, leading and being supported by a small team of policy and scrutiny officers.  You will be curious and will explore opportunities that will help our Office to Make Notts Safe.

Through building positive, collaborative relationships internally and externally, with police colleagues, partners and the public of Nottinghamshire, you will contribute to transformation and ensure the delivery of excellent services that provide effective safeguarding, and which are value for money.

We want our workforce to represent the communities we serve, creating a culture where everyone feels safe and is welcomed, and we committed to equality, diversity and inclusion.

In return, working in our Office offers professional satisfaction as well as the opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of other people.
